Social Services Department
An integral member of the health care professional team, the department is staffed by a bilingual (French/English) Social Worker.
» The Department's main roles include:
Discharge planning, providing access to resources, crisis intervention for both inpatients and outpatients, providing short term intervention counselling.
The department is also heavily involved with Golden Birches Terrace where we provide support, help organize family conferences, coordinate admissions (managing the waiting list) and are involved with ongoing assessments.
The Social Services Department is related to other organizations that operate within the Health Centre such as the Mental Health Clinic and projects including Christmas Baskets.
