Meals on Wheel

» What is Meals on Wheels?

Hot, nutritious full course meals are delivered by the Meals on Wheels program to eligible individuals.  Volunteers deliver the homemade meals mid-day on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

» Eligibility

Seniors, those who are convalescing, challenged adults and new mothers who reside in the Blind River area are eligible for the program. Applicants may be self referred, or referred by health and social agencies, relatives and friends.

» Cost

A modest fee is charged for the meal.
Gift certificates are available for those wishing to try the service or seeking a unique, great gift for a family member or a friend.

» Do You Have a Special Diet?

Diabetic or lactose-free meals are available. The meals may also be minced or pureed.

» We Need Your Help!

Can you spare 3 hours per month?... do you enjoy meeting people?...consider being a Meals on Wheels volunteer.
