The Handi-Transit Bus is a door to door para-transit service operated by the Town of Blind River and subsidized by the Ministry of Transportation. Service is available within the Town of Blind River. The service may be chartered for eligible passengers on special occasions within the Town of Blind River at a higher cost.
» Obtaining a Libery Express Handi-Transit Pass
Challenged individuals and those with limited mobility can obtain an application from:

The Community Support Program office at the Blind River District Health Centre.
Completed applications are to be returned to the Town of Blind River or the Community Support Program office for assessment by the Eligibility Committee.
After the application has been approved, your bus pass will be issued by the Town of Blind River.
» Fares
The fair is $2.50 per one-way trip (in-town). The fare is $6.00 per one-way trip (Mississauga Reserve). Please have exact change for the driver.

Monday to Friday
8:30 am - 10:30 am
2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
» Office Hours
For bookings phone 356-2265 Ext. 0 during the hours of:
7:00 am to 11:00 pm.
Please give ample time for cancellation.
» Booking Tips
Trips should be booked at least 24 hours in advance and may be booked up to one week in advance. Passengers should be prepared to be flexible and plan alternative dates/times, in the event that a prior booking has occurred. Same day requests may be accommodated if space is available.
NOTE: DRIVERS CANNOT ACCEPT BOOKINGS, CANCELLATIONS, OR CHANGE OF DESTINATION.
Trips are booked on a “first come first serve” basis.
Please be ready with the following information:
- Your Name.
- Date and Time of Trip.
- Pick up Address & Destination.
- Pick up Time for Return Trip.
- Whether or not you will be accompanied by an approved attendant.
» Bus Chartering
The Liberty Express Handi-Transit bus can be chartered by eligible individuals for special occasion use.
