Under the direction of Jennifer Stanton Smith, the Chief Financial Officer, the Finance Department is responsible for the effective communication relating to departmental budgets, expenditures and statistics throughout the Health Centre.
We ensure that the payroll for our hard working employees is disbursed accurately in a timely fashion while also looking after Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
For Golden Birches Terrace, the Finance Department sees to Resident In-Trust bank accounts. In other words we act as an internal bank for the residents to obtain easy access to their money, although in most cases this is done by a Power of Attorney.
Finally the Finance Department prepares financial reports to the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care or other external agencies as required.
**N.B. Donations to the Health Centre are handled by the Blind River District Health Centre Foundation and are accepted by the Administration Department.**
