The Diagnostic Imaging department applies energy in the form of X-Ray and ultrasound to assist in the diagnosis of health problems for inpatients, outpatients and the residents of Golden Birches Terrace. The department is filmless and uses digital images. The images are sent via the internet to Sudbury Radiologists for interpretation. This means that it is now a faster process with turnaround times averaging 24 hours instead of weeks. The department installed state of the art x-ray equipment October 2006.
» Out Patient Hours
The department is regularly staffed Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and covered by an “on call " technologist weeknights, weekends and statutory holidays.
» Do I require an appointment?
No appointment is necessary for General Radiology Services.
Appointments are required for Ultrasounds, Echocardiograms and Gastric x-rays.
