Accreditation Canada

Accreditation Canada provides national and international health and social service organizations with a voluntary, external peer review to assess the quality of our services based on standards of excellence. Accreditation Canada's programs and guidance have been helping organizations strive for excellence for more than 50 years.

In 2011 the Blind River District Health Centre received a three-year accreditation.

In 2009, the Laboratory was also awarded its accreditation from Ontario Laboratory Accreditation (OLA), a branch of the Ministry of Health's laboratory licensing sector.

Our strategy is to monitor our continuous quality improvement (CQI) in all departments to ensure that we are making changes and setting new benchmarks based on our CQI initatives.
